The camp is an opportunity to receive in-depth pitching, defensive and offensive instruction from the YSU Baseball staff. The cost is $150 for pitchers, $225 for an evaluation at one position and $250 for evaluations at two positions. The cost includes lunch on Aug. 18 and a camp t-shirt.
The Penguins’ staff will also host a one-day showcase camp on June 27 at Eastwood Field. There will be two three-hour sessions, one for pitching and defense and another for hitting. The pitching and defense session will run from 9 a.m. to noon, and the hitting portion will last from 1-4 p.m. The cost for each session is $100, and campers have the option to attend both for $150. That camp is also open to high school players as well as junior college freshmen and sophomores. A t-shirt will be provided to attendees.
Finally, YSU’s coaches will host a Summer Kids Camp from 9 a.m. to noon for three days from June 21-23 at the Watson and Tressel Training Site on campus. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13, and there will be in-depth instruction individualized to each age group. The cost is $100 total for the nine hours of instruction over the three days.
The Bobby Barbier Baseball Camp at Northwestern State University will host its one-day Prospect Camp on Saturday, Aug. 6.
The camp will run from 1-5 p.m. at Brown-Stroud Field, the home of NSU baseball. Campers are asked to check in 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.
Cost for the camp is $125 per camper and includes the chance for campers to showcase their abilities in a pro-style workout. Campers will receive instruction from the NSU baseball staff and current Demons players.
The camp is open to any and all players in the 9th-12th grades. Each camper must bring his own equipment (glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet, running shoes or turf shoes, hat and any other equipment he deems necessary to compete).
The Coaches Clinic, which will be run by the Baylor coaching staff, will consist of multiple 30-minute instructional segments for coaches of all levels. Topics include hitting, pitching, catching, infield, outfield, strength, nutrition, and more. Held the day before the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Convention at the Waco Convention Center, it is a great way for coaches to prepare for their upcoming seasons.

The Elite Camps will be broken down into two sessions. The Elite Pitcher/Catcher Camp will be on Jan. 17 and the Elite Hitter Camp will be held on Jan. 18.
The camps are specifically designed to help players improve their individual skills through instruction and repetition. In addition to being a great way for players to demonstrate their skills in front of the entire Baylor coaching staff, the camps represent an outstanding preparation tool for the 2015 season.
The camps will utilize a wide range of facilities on campus, including Baylor Ballpark, the Simpson Athletics and Academic Center, and the Allison Indoor Practice Facility.
